I am looking forward to singing for the first time in North Carolina to celebrate Beethoven's 250th Birthday at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. I am honoured to kick-off their Beethoven Festival "BTHVN ROCKS WS" with a song recital featuring the song cycle "An die ferne Geliebte" Op.98, the Gellert Lieder, Op. 48 and many of his ingenuous British folk song arrangements. Accompanied by Wake Forest’s chair of the Department of Music, Peter Kairoff, I will also be presenting the American premiere of Austrian composer Helmut Schmidinger’s “Mein Engel, mein Alles, mein Ich.” - song cycle based on Beethoven’s famous “Immortal Beloved” letter of 1812.
